HLS Letters

HLS Spring'44; at Lowry Field near Denver, before heading to Morocco (as an officer) -- letter to Cornelia

". . . This hotel room is the worst place in the world for a family man like me.  In between books I feel terrible.  I think the summer at Caltech did me some good and having people to write to does a lot more good.  I also have time to read novels.  I just finished Three Soldiers by Dos Passos.  He just hates officers.  I would be much more comfortable if I hadn't read it."
